Dr. Foster’s Expectation of Ministry
At Highpoint Baptist Church, we believe ministry is not merely an activity but a sacred calling. The expectation of ministry begins with a devoted dependence on God—anchored in prayer, guided by the Spirit, and grounded in the Word. As Paul wrote, “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). Every effort, from the pulpit to the pew, must reflect a Christ-centered commitment to excellence, integrity, and love. Ministry here is not for self-promotion but for soul-proclamation—the good news of Jesus Christ.
Highpoint called to move forward with one voice, one message, and one vision. This means our voices join in harmony to lift high the name of Jesus, our message remains rooted in the unchanging gospel, and our vision looks toward building God’s Kingdom with faith and focus. “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3) reminds us that unity is not optional but essential. Through cooperation, compassion, and conviction, we will accomplish together what none of us could achieve alone.
Personally, as Sr. Pastor of God’s people, the expectation is that ministry will always remain pastoral, practical, and powerful. Pastoral in its care, Practical in its approach, and Powerful in its impact. We serve with hands that help, hearts that heal, and voices that herald the hope of Christ. Our legacy and our future depend on this: that every ministry, every leader, and every member strives toward spiritual maturity while embracing the joy of service. As we journey forward, we do so with faith, hope, and love—trusting that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6).
